The new 19 K Constantinople Crash Ride compliments the 16” and 18” Crashes currently in the product line. It features a new hammering technique, an additional pin lathe on the top and bottom, provides additional performance capabilities and a left side alternative, and is medium-thin in weight. These new features allow the cymbal to maintain the dark, expressive quality of the K Constantinople line sought by drummers the world over and incorporate even more overtones and nuances. The new pin lathe feature also gives the cymbal an appearance similar to earlier Ks from the 60’s.

Reminiscent of cymbals from the 50s and 60s yet distinctly modern and relevant for today’s music, the cymbal line is named in honor of Kerope Zildjian, who presided over one of the most storied periods in Zildjian history. From 1865 until his death in 1909 in Constantinople, Kerope continued to develop the classic K. Zildjian sound, coveted by the world’s greatest drummers. In memory of Kerope’s contribution to cymbal making and his deep commitment to craftsmanship, the Zildjian family is introducing a line of cymbals that includes 14” and 15” Hats as well as 18”, 19”, 20” and 22” models.
The Gen16 Buffed Bronze cymbal produces a richer and warmer tone then the original Gen16 nickel plated cymbal. Each Gen 16 cymbal utilizes a patented pattern of holes, in varying sizes to reduce the sound pressure level (SPL) of an acoustic cymbal.
